About the Cultural Hub
The Cultural Hub is the local cultural education partnership (LCEP) for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole (BCP), Dorset and the wider region. It is one of the longest standing and most successful LCEPs in the UK, formed in 2005 as one of 3 pilot projects nationally. The Hub is a collaboration between schools, cultural organisations, artists and young people. It’s a brilliant opportunity for schools to bring the highest quality arts activities and performances into their neighbourhoods.
The Cultural Hub has delivered a plethora of creative and educational projects across BCP and Dorset, with partnership working key. It is a producing hub, with around 10-12 creative projects delivered and funded annually; as well as a really strong network of creative practitioners, organisations and schools. All projects are jointly planned and managed between education and cultural partners to ensure they are meeting the needs of both sectors.
Projects have been used to enhance the curriculum in school time, develop exciting extracurricular enrichment projects, plus a substantial amount of professional development for artists and teachers. Uniquely, the Cultural Hub enables cultural organisations to build sustained partnerships with other cultural organisations, creative practitioners and schools in a flexible and responsive way that promotes learning, organisational change and the adoption of new ways of working.

Current annual membership fees for schools are:
£500 for new member schools to the Cultural Hub
£800 for existing members
Cultural partners are required to contribute a minimum cash contribution and a programme of in-kind offers available year round to all members.
