Poppy Fields
We are very pleased to announce that Wave is working in partnership with Valise Noire Theatre Company, Lighthouse, BSO, the Cultural Hub, Michele O’Brien, Hazel Evans and many other partners to commemorate the First World War with the project, Poppy Fields.
Poppy Fields is a multi-faceted heritage and arts project incorporating the making of thousands of poppies to be included in site specific performances and an exhibition opening at Lighthouse Gallery on Wednesday 15th October to coincide with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s commemorative concert.
Ask your school, your family, your group or even your nan, we would love you to get stuck in and help us make these poppies! Make as many as you can, as we are hoping to collect thousands for display. You can then drop them into the collection points. Drop off points are all Poole and Bournemouth Libraries and/or Lighthouse 7 – 11 October
To learn how to make the poppies, see the template created by Valise Noire Theatre Company below, and for more guidance see the poppy making Video!
