This is a FREE opportunity for member schools
Target group: GCSE art students
An opportunity for your students to receive teaching, guidance and support from a professional artist to develop their technique and support their coursework.
Heidi Steller is a freelance professional artist with a background in printmaking and theatre design. She has 20 years’ experience running art workshops in schools and community settings and teaches regularly at The Arts University Bournemouth.
Each participating school receives two half-day inputs targeted at GCSE art students.
On visit 1: students will receive specialist guidance in a whole class setting with Heidi leading a session in drawing techniques, this could be led by a current topic they are studying or focus on life drawing. Students will have the chance to receive individual feedback and guidance on their coursework and offer ideas for possible art projects moving forwards in consultation with the teacher.
On visit 2: Heidi returns a few weeks later to follow up with students and see how their work has progressed. Students have the chance to further tap into Heidi’s experience as a professional artist. Heidi will be able to give further tips on particular techniques.
