A colourful CPD for both KS1 and KS2 teaching colleagues, delivered by primary arts specialist Abi Thommes of Arts2Educate. Spend an evening getting involved in a range of different activities including painting, collage, drawing, printing and a few games added in here and there! Come away with practical tips and ideas about how to get creative in your classroom.
Abi Thommes is the founder of Arts2Educate, a successful Dorset-based organisation that brings art and drama workshops to primary schools. Abi’s years of teaching, arts and drama experience, including gaining her Arts Awards, has helped to see Arts2Educate grow – expanding her work to into art centres, libraries, holiday clubs, as well as schools across the region.
This year, Abi has been working with 20+ KS1 schools delivering topic-based workshops to more than 1000 students. Abi now offers the opportunity for teachers to learn her techniques for her workshops! With an appreciation that there is often limited resources, capacity or time to fit in arts projects in schools, Abi’s hands-on session should leave you with some practical ideas, techniques and activities for bringing more creativity to your classroom.
This CPD is FREE for SoundStorm/Wave member schools. Up to three colleagues from each school can attend.
